FAQs

  • Where is it?
The festival is at North Leigh Football Club, in the grounds of Eynsham Hall estate. Travel directions can be found at: www.norlyefestival.com/info
  • Do I need to pay to get in?
Because the festival is run by volunteers, non-profit, and is well supported and sponsored by local businesses, it is free entry.
  • Is the festival under cover?
The main arena in front of the outside stage is not under cover, so please dress for the elements (rain, mud, or extreme sunshine). The bar and the inside stage are under cover.
  • What facilities will be available?
There will be toilets, first aid, and security on site. There will also be free drinking water available. We have wheelchair accessible toilets available, but please be aware that the festival takes place on grass and may be difficult to manoeuvre in a chair (especially in wet conditions).
  • Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome so long as they are always on a lead and under control. Please pick up after your furry friend and place in the bins provided.
  • Can I bring my own alcohol?
Due to licencing regulations, we are unfortunately unable to allow alcohol to be brought onto the site. Please do not bring alcohol with you.
  • Can I bring a picnic?
While we ask that you support the independent food stalls at the site, you may bring a picnic with you, but please do not bring BBQs or cooking equipment.
  • Do you offer camping?
We regret that we do not currently offer public camping, but please look out for details on our Witney-Festival shuttle bus.
  • Is there car parking?
There is limited free car parking at the festival site, but we encourage you to use public transport (e.g. a bus from Witney) or lift share if possible. If you intend to drink alcohol, please leave the car at home.
  • How do I buy beer?
The bar operates on tokens only. These are £2 each (with a pint being 2 tokens) and can be purchased from the token stand. Tokens can not be purchased at the bar itself. Please enter into the spirit of the festival by enjoying yourself and drinking responsibly.
  • Why do I have to buy a Nor Lye pint glass?
In a bid to reduce our plastic waste, non-refundable beer glasses are sold for 1 token, and are yours to keep. You are welcome to bring them back to future festivals.
  • What other drinks will be available?
On the main bar there will be a range of ales, ciders, and spirits, as well as house wine and lager. Soft drinks will also be available from both the bar and the tuck shop. In 2018, we also have Raising The Bar UK offering prosecco and top-shelf gins.
  • How much money will I need?
Aside from beer tokens, all stalls (including food, crafts, tuck shop, merch, fairground rides) are cash only, however we will also have a number of free kids activities available, including a football pitch, story-telling and craft tent.
